The Belgian DJ turned Piazza Matteotti into a huge open-air dancefloor
Charlotte de Witte played a special open-air set in the streets of Genova this past weekend.
Around 20,000 people showed up on Saturday, April 11, turning Piazza Matteotti into a huge dancefloor. The event was supported by Mayor Silvia Salis and First Festival.
Videos from the set have been shared online, showing the energy of the crowd. It’s part of a series of open-air shows Charlotte has been doing in different cities.
After the show, she shared a message on Instagram:
“Genova, i have no words for what just happened. I saw people dancing from all ages. Everyone smiling and moving to the beat. Honestly, the whole thing is making me a bit emotional. These are very powerful moments. I’m beyond honored to have been able to play for you today. Dal profondo del mio cuore, grazie mille ❤️”
